~ Fallen Love ~ A poem by L.C. Bellami

......

A Poem I wrote Inspired by (Not based entirely on) The Fallen series By Lauren Kate;

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
                            ~ Fallen Love ~
3 words “I love you”
You said, “I love you”
The Heavens opened and I fell!
A blast of Truth ripped open the starry floor,
and the sky swallowed me!
Fallen, Torment, Passion, Rapture
The Divine Revelation of Love before The Throne, ripped even the glory of Heaven apart at the seems!
The Chief Angel’s words, as he was officiating the marriage of our souls echo even now through my head; ringing like accusing church bells! “What God has joined together, let No man put asunder”!
But what if our ending was caused by no man, but by The Throne itself?
What then of our Great Love?
Love so powerful that it split the Heavens, and the earth itself quaked; like our bodies; when our passions ignited the fiery stars above!
3 words, “I Love you”
You said “I Love you”
The Heavens opened, and I fell
My wings opened but could not grip the air enough to catch me, as the earth rushed to meet me! Heavy things shedding weight and feathers as I plummeted! Blood like tear drops were lost in the high places!
When my body full of Grace hit the ground, the sound of it shattered the peace of the universe and time itself stopped as the wave reverberated back to me!
I laid curled like a baby in the embrace of the earth longing for death, longing for your embrace!
Your words hung there in The Eternal Heavens of my mind! You claim that you Love me, but where are you now, after such a declaration? Was it only I who fell? The sky swallowed me, and I could not see!
And where are the rest of The Heavenly Hosts? Where are their ancient celestial songs to sing the sun to my heart again and awaken me from my ancient sleep! Rouse me Starry ones, I pray of thee, rouse me to Love still again with thy sweet refrains!
3 words, “I love you”,
You said, “I love you”,
The Heavens opened and I fell…
and I fell!
My System for Rating the Lengths of Stories;
My system for rating the lengths of stories;
These are my personal opinions on what constitutes Novels, Novellas, and Short Stories:
A Novel is 400 pages or more...
A Novella is 200 to 400 pages...
A short story is anything less than 200 pages.
How Long is your stuff...and how do you measure it??? Most of the time...I say...The Longer the better! Guys who read Novels are just so sexy...and they always leave me wondering... What they like between the covers! Please feel free to take off your things and stay a while to ...hummmm Read...Yes, Read! lol
~A Cutter's Lesson~ A Poem by L.C. Bellami;
          ~ A cutters lesson ~
Sometimes the pain is too much to deal
Sometimes the pain won’t let you heal
Pick up the blade and press it in
A few small cuts upon my skin
Blood seeping from my torn flesh
A little taste of coming death
Now I forget the pain inside
Just for a while I can hide
The pain outside of my own head
Has left me numb as I lie in bed
A few small cuts upon my skin
They keep me sane, they hold it in
As I bleed it pours away
All the pain I felt today
Every bloody line a trail
Every row a story tells
The scars are like a holy writ
And sometimes like a movie script
But eventually the cuts just fail to work
No longer numb to all the hurt
If only I could gather the pain they took
And use it to kill with just a look
I would kill and kill again
I would give away my sin
So as I pen this, thanks again
To the few small cuts upon my skin
..........
Note: there was a period of time when I was in high school and dealing with a lot that I went through a lot of stupid things; cutting for one example! It worked for a while and distracted me from all the pain; at least for a few minutes at a time. The pain outside was easier to deal with than the pain inside! But it doesn’t last! Only a path of true healing which leads one to wholeness will last! So if you are currently a cutter, and are so for the purpose of not dealing with your pain….put down the razor blade or whatever you are using and go get some real help for yourself or at least find a better way to deal! Cutting is just stupid…and since I used to be that kind of stupid I can say something about it! The lesson that cutting taught me was that there are no easy fast roads to real healing! You have to take time to actually deal with things. This lesson is a huge and very great lesson in life! If you are a cutter, I hope perhaps I can help you learn this lesson!
Healing is possible! Reach out to someone, find the path to healing and wholeness! Don't give up and Don't ever give in! Help is all around us if we just ask for it!
Celebrate.....Let your heart dance and make merry......For God will give you the Oil of gladness and fill your heart with great Joy, Faith, Hope, Love, and Peace! Kindness and Mercy are his to dispense, and he gives them freely to all who seek it! Everlasting Friendship is in his power and he will give that unto you! Turn your heart to him and lay your burdnes down at his feet, at the base of his throne and he will lift you up higher than you have ever imagined you could be!
Matthew 11: 28  Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.
John 16:33
[Jesus said] "These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world."
Romans 5:1
Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Peter 3:10,11
...He who would love life and see good days...Let him seek peace and pursue it.
2 Corinthians 13:11
Finally, brethren, farewell. Become complete. Be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.
The 151st psalm: Testify to Love, a song;
Find one thing a day that is Good in the world and cherish it, hold on to it, let it prove to you that Love is real and attainable, and be grateful for it with all that you are!!! That is how you will find a road out of your sorrow and into Joy!
~The Calling~ a poem by L.C. Bellami
           ~The Calling~
Tell The Truth and shame the devil
The devil that lies in wait inside
leave him then, no place to hide,
crush it down, this awful pride!
The hollow plain that was your heart
filled again with Darkest Art
but The Angel's voice ripped you apart
giving you a chance; a brand new start!
Some say the devil can’t be shamed
Some say devils should never be named
Most know devils can’t be tamed
But did anyone tell you, you can leave them lame?
People tell you to be afraid, but that stone in me was never laid
So fear not said The Angel, let nothing you affright
I took this message all the way, but The Power was far too bright!
The Shades they danced around me, as I was blinded, so Sublime
And all Darkness came for me, as I wrestled the grip of time!
Then The Light of Life it found me, The Beauty broke right through
My heart was then confounded by The God I only thought I knew!
The Truth is Powerful indeed, Faith and Hope made sure
But nothing compares to The Divine rush of Love
That Spark that ignites The Soul, gifted from Above!
Its heat courses through Heart and head, and flows down to your arms and legs
The Call of God was far too real, I lost my mind, thought it meant to kill
But I’d gladly walk dark roads again to hear His Voice break through my Sin
The feel of Your Touch break through my skin,
the back-door left open is how you came in!
The Breath of Life it found me, The Beauty broke right though
It filled my lungs and drowned me, the waters made me new
So come again God’s calling, wash over me enthralling
The lie may be so pretty, but the end results in pity
The Truth laid waste to me, the devil inside made lame,
But The Angel woke within me and led me Home again!
It changed my world completely, unmade me where I stood
The Call can be forgiving, Surrender though you should
The Madness will over take you, the way a lover would!
But let The Madness take you, let The Dark unmake you,
The Darkness it will break you, but Sublime Light will Reshape you
The Light of Life it found me, The Passion broke right through
My heart was then confounded by The God I only thought I knew!
And here I am still standing, left whole by Holy Light
and still I’m gazing upward at The Beauty of the sight
I look directly at it, staring at The Sun
Hoping to again be blinded as I watch The Darkness run!
The devil died inside you, The Heart awoke from Sleep
The Angel is aware now, and you can feel His Heat
Light of Life please find us, Beauty please brake through
Our hearts were left so empty, by absence of The God we never knew!
And I cried out “Please Save me”, take it, eat my sin
Save with Your Kiss, The Breath of Life on skin
I cry, please just rush me, hasten now to touch me
Save me with The Sun, your Love leaves Dark undone!
Our hearts calling one another in communion and delight,
was The Voice of The Almighty that had hidden from our sight
Our denial, All our lies, left bitter darkened skies
And then we just gave in, and surrendered Holy Skin
The Light of Life it found us, The Beauty broke right through
Our hearts were then confounded, by The God we finally knew!
…….
This poem is about two people admitting they love each other after nearly destroying each other by pretending not to! One person was willing to admit it after realizing that somehow the other person had found a way into their heart with out them knowing it, or wanting it! This person also has a personality; that if they see something they want, they take it! The other once felt love and then turned angry after rejection, and grew to hate the other person! But the hate was only a mask to hide the pain of rejection! When they finally surrender to the power of the love between them, they experience Divine Ecstasy and all things in their life are made right! This Poem was inspired by many things, especially the song Breath of Life by Florence and the machine, and the love story of Brian and Justin; characters in the television series Queer as Folk! It is part of a series of poems I want to do about Love either being a type of damnation or salvation for us!
In Good Times And In Bad; a poem on the dissolution of a marriage by L.C. Bellami
In Good Times And In Bad;
Once I made a promise to love you till I die
Once I took a vow, to you I’d never lie
Once there was a pair of rings
Once there was the sky
then you took it all back
and left me here to cry.
We stood before the priest
We looked God in the eye
The angels bore us witness
How could you say goodbye
Our friends and family gathered
And watched me so enamored
Only death would part us
Our love would always guard us
But now you say its over
How easy to betray
There’s nothing left to say now
There’s no more I can pray
“To love, honor, and cherish
In sickness and health”
Did you forget my darling
“In poverty or wealth”
In case you need reminding
One last time before you leave
You promised me forever
and I trusted and believed
You said you’d always love me
Some jokes just leave one sad
So much for your promise
“In good times and in bad”
But I’ll let you go my lover
My heart you stole is broke
when next you make a promise
On the words I hope you choke
You left me drained and empty
You cut me to the core
But as an empty vessel
There always room for more
So next time I make a promise
I will not be had
I’ll find someone who’s worthy
Of “in good time and in bad”!
A poem by L.C. Bellami, April 2012
I was watching a movie as inspiration for a character in one of the novels I am writing. The movie was about the dissolution of a marriage due to one person cheating. I wrote this on behalf of all the marriages that ended due to adultery out there, where at least one person was in love. It saddens me to see that most people have no clue what marriage really is, and that they get into it too quickly and leave it just the same! Marriage is supposed to be hard work, like any great adventure, journey, or worthwhile righteous undertaking! Marriage is about sacrificing self for love of another and getting the same in return! A marriage and a divorce takes at least two people! Before you get married, learn what it is all about people! Look deep before you leap!!!!!!!!!!
